TodayWe completed the analysis and evaluation of TWA #1, and students were guided through the marking of the rubric to arrive at a final score earned on the three elements:  format, mechanics, and writing (ideas and addressing the prompt).

There is no homework.

October 6, 2016

Students will show their level of understanding for the literary elements on a test where students will not only need to know the meanings of the literary elements, but it will also be necessary to identify the elements within a short story, The Sniper by Liam O’ Flaherty.

If time permits, we will also complete Subject/Verb Common Assessment #3.

Students continued collaborating to analyze and evaluate TWA #1. We are now nearly finished.  After about ten more minutes to wrap up the last element, we will use the data collected to mark the scoring guide. The only homework is to continue annotating and increasing the understanding for The Sniper before Thursday’s test.
